A rodel is a meticulously designed sled with flexible joints and a rocker, offering precision turning action. You can make turns with ease simply by pulling the reins, or, for a more advanced technique, by using your whole body.
Stopping is easy—just put your feet down and stand up—but don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the process.
The sport rodel features recessed seating and steering horns, allowing you to feel the sled and execute smooth turns with your feet. These sleds are incredibly responsive and comfortable for an entire day of adventure.

Discover the Untouched Beauty of
La Rosière at Club Med
Enjoy breakfast each morning and then walk out the door to meet your instructor/guide and group. Monday-Friday you will be put into small same-level groups with an instructor/guide for a weeks’ worth of instruction or to show you the secret powder stashes and off-piste descents. You don’t need your passport, but cross the border on skis into Italy and enjoy the ski resort of La Thuile!!!! Your instructor/guide will show you the way, and back. Return to Club Med for lunch or maybe try a mountain lunch in Italy. Either way, relax and enjoy lunch only as it is done in Europe, a true experience.
Other on-mountain options include the X-Treme Luge, a rollercoaster-like thrill ride; Snakegliss, a chain of sleds; snowkiting; or paragliding. Heli-skiing is even an option in Italy.
After skiing, take a short 15-minute walk down to a wonderful French village for après ski, shopping, and of course all the great amenities at our Club Med, such as indoor pool, Yoga classes, spa and outdoor hot tub, and open bar!
Dinner each night at Club Med La Rossiere is an experience. Be wined and dined. After dinner enjoy the nightly Club Med entertainment, or venture into town.
