Val-d’Isère
Val-d’Isère is a premium alpine resort in France that oozes charm & panache, plus also happens to have some of the very best ski terrain in the world and outstanding panoramic views of the French Alps. This world-class resort has earned its reputation as one of France’s top ski destinations.
Along with nearby and connected Tignes ski resort, Val-d’Isère, forms the French Alps self-titled “Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World.” Tignes-Val-d’Isère was formerly known as ‘Espace Killy’, named after Jean-Claude Killy, the legendary French champion alpine ski racer who dominated the sport in the late 1960s. It is arguably the most user friendly major European resort, has a staggering amount of skiing, and gets the most reliable snow, a combo that is hard to beat.
Along with the neighboring Tignes, Val d’Isère offers 300km of piste, 78 ski lifts, 10,000 ac of off-piste, and 2 glaciers (both available in summer). It’s mega!
