Join Our Team as a Ski Travel Sales Specialist

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alpine Adventures is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Ski Travel Sales Specialist to join our team and help grow our company’s already-deep relationships with travel agencies and travel advisors in the USA and around the world

If you have a knack for sales in the travel industry and a love for mountain destinations, we want to hear from you!

  • Become familiar with our reservation system and sales office processes.
  • Monitor and respond to leads from Alpine Adventures preferred travel partners JMAK, Virtuoso, Travel Leaders, and Travel Savers.
  • Build custom travel itineraries to domestic and international ski and mountain destinations.
  • Work with luxury lodging suppliers to request rates and availability.
  • Participate in the management and maintenance of direct consumer, travel advisor, and travel agency databases.
  • Participate in familiarization trips to further your knowledge of destinations and properties.
  • Represent Alpine Adventures at various industry events, including SkiTOPS, and Mountain Travel Symposium.
  • Regularly communicate with key travel agency partners to learn their needs and discover opportunities.
  • Communicate promotions, updates, and other marketing information to direct consumers and travel agencies.
  • Participate with marketing team efforts to develop promotional offers, incentives, and programs for direct consumers and travel consortia, agencies, and advisors.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested.


  • Sales experience in the travel and or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, email, web search, and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international ski resorts is a plus.
  • Relationships with and/or knowledge of luxury mountain suppliers are a plus.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail—so critical when planning travel.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to constructively problem-solve.
  • Ability to follow up and meet deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-assured.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to achieve established sales goals.
  • Willingness to develop good customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Experience in travel sales is great, in other types of sales is a plus

  • Can you build and service that perfect and memorable vacation for a variety of customers and destinations?
  • Do you value meaningful and long-term relationships with your customers and with company partners?
  • Can you tactfully listen to and mediate customer service issues? (Important!)
  • Are you organized and goal-and-success oriented?
  • Do you believe that you communicate well, both verbally and in writing?
