Ski Arpa is a must-hit for any hardcore skier on a trip through the Andes
Unbelievable vistas. Unbelievable amounts of vertical. Unbelievable snow.
The two valleys of Ski Arpa—Valle el Arpa and Valle la Honda—are unlike anywhere in the world. At the summit you will see east to Cerro Aconcagua, the highest peak of the Americas, and west to the Pacific.
Started by ski industry legend Anthony “Toni” Sponar and run by his son Anton, Arpa is a one-of-a-kind experience for skiers and riders with a wild hair for adventure. From its summit elevation, skiers are treated to unobstructed views of 22,841′ Aconcagua before skiing down to the cat driver whose ready to serve up another hot lap. And while the snow can be extremely variable– when conditions are good– the area transforms into a backcountry skier’s paradise.
Perched among 13,000 foot peaks, Ski Arpa is the soul of skiing. No lattes’ here, you will only find powder, friends, BBQs and a beer at the end of the day. What else could you ask for? Descents of 3,000 vertical feet? You’ll find those too.
