Make This Ski Season Unforgettable

Request your personalized ski trip quote and ensure your perfect holiday adventure before it slips away.

Sugarbush, the leading four-season resort in the Northeast where families and individuals of all ages can dream, discover, explore, and thrive as they pursue their own adventures in our beautiful, authentic Vermont mountain and valley environment.

Sugarbush Resort is a ski resort located in the Mad River Valley in Warren, Vermont. It is one of the largest ski resorts in New England.

The resort encompasses more than 4000 acres (16 km²) total, 578 trail acres (2.34 km²) skiable, 53 miles (85 km) of trails, and 16 ski lifts. Sugarbush has 111 ski trails, 18 additional marked wooded area, substantial off-piste skiing and riding, a summit elevation of 4,083 ft (1,244 m), and a vertical drop of 2,600 feet (790 m), second largest in Vermont after Killington, and the third largest in New England after Killington and Sugarloaf.

Sugarbush has two mountain areas separated by Slide Brook Basin. The south side of Sugarbush, Lincoln Peak, is the resort’s main mountain area. Most of the resort real estate is located at Lincoln Peak, including the new Claybrook condominiums and hotel.

Lincoln Peak has 2,400 vertical feet and a summit elevation of 3,975 feet (1,211.6 m), with 72 of Sugarbush’s 111 runs. Also at Lincoln Peak are several other smaller peaks: Gadd Peak, Castlerock Peak, and North Lynx Peak.

Sugarbush receives an annual average of 262 inches (6.7 m) of snow. Sugarbush has approximately 70% snowmaking coverage, with some areas intentionally devoid of snowmaking systems.

For most skiers and riders, snow sports are a lifelong passion. However, sparking that enthusiasm for the sport in first timers and retaining their interest over the long term has proven more elusive. The National Ski Areas Association reports that fewer than 2% of first timers return to the slopes after their introduction to skiing and riding. Sugarbush’s NSAA award-winning First Timer to Life Timer Package is slowly bucking this trend. In its fifth year, this innovative program successfully converts first time skiers and riders to life time skiing and riding enthusiasts by offering a FREE All-Mountain Sugarbush Season Pass to anyone (13 and over) who completes an introductory 3-lesson package. In fact, over the last four years Sugarbush has had 658 graduates. From twenty-somethings to grandfathers, Sugarbush’s First Timer to Life Timer graduates are proving that learning to love skiing and riding has no age limits.

Ski resort dining shouldn’t always be about quick meals, chili, and beer – there’s a finer side to some of the dining experiences here at Sugarbush. Ride the Cabin Cat (or hike) to the top of Gadd Peak for a candle-lit gourmet feast in Allyn’s Lodge. The gourmet meal includes hors d’oeuvres, appetizer entree, dessert, wine, and coffee. Following the dinner, guests even have the option to ski down under the moonlight taking in the commanding views, or ride in the cat back to the base. Special wine requests and live jazz music available upon request. Back down at the base area, enjoy a Timbers Wine Dinner – a delicious 5-course dinner paired with select wines. Quail & kale salad with a blueberry vinaigrette, slow roast leg of lamb with an Ibarra chocolate demi-glace and roasted pepper and olive compote, or Manchego cheese quesadillas and chevre floutas with fresh berry salsa are just some of the courses you can expect to see.
