SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN TELLURIDE
Telluride’s rich mining heritage left a legacy of intertwined jeep roads, providing access to some of the area’s highest mountain passes. Travel to Telluride’s high country to view beautiful mountain vistas, alpine lakes, waterfalls, wildflowers, ghost towns and mining ruins. From moderate overpasses to extreme roads, there is nothing like a 4×4 adventure ride on some of Colorado’s most breathtaking mountain roads! Tour Imogene Pass, one of the most popular mountain passes, connecting Telluride to Ouray or explore one of the many other off-road routes such as Bridal Veil Falls, Last Dollar Road, Ophir Pass, Alta Lakes or Black Bear Pass (one way East to West, advanced drivers only).
Mountain driving experience is highly recommended for all visitors venturing out on their own.

Telluride Golf Course
This par 71, 6,739-yard, 18-hole, mountain resort course is surrounded by the highest concentration of 14,000-foot mountains in the United States. Perched 9,300 feet above sea level, the elevation works to your advantage as Telluride’s thin air creates less resistance against the golf ball during flight, translating to 15 percent more distance. The course offers meandering fairways that wind through aspen groves and towering pines and beside mountain ponds and sparkling streams.
The Telluride Golf Course was constructed in 1992 and serves as a private club for members, as well as a public course for locals and guests.

Warm up at Adventure Rock in Mountain Village. This man made climbing boulder is open daily during (weather permitting) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the summer. You will find challenges for novices to expert climbers.

STEPS FROM THE SLOPES OF SNOWMASS: Intimate and inviting family-friendly accommodations in the heart of Snowmass just steps from Snowmass Mountain.
Upon arrival, drive through the home’s handcrafted wrought iron gates and begin your experience. Welcome to Castlewood, the West’s “Gem of the Rockies”. As you drive up the circular driveway marvel at the large, impressive log home surrounded by aspen and spruce trees.
A large set of wooden doors inset with antique stained glass, gas lanterns and old wooden sleds will greet you. You are entering The Castlewood Experience; a detailed replica of the Grand Lodge of the early 1900’s. The home is a masterfully unique combination of turn-of-the-century features with modern conveniences.
Castlewood Manor is Telluride’s most spectacular private rental estate. The residence features three structures knitted together, the Main House, the Coach House, and the Hot Springs Grotto. Castlewood Manor is a ski in/ski out residence (Double Cabins ski run), and your experience here will be 5 star in every way.
The Main House entrance opens to a wide and inviting entry room. The main living area of Castlewood features a huge wood burning fireplace, surrounded by opulent furnishings and comfy rugs. The gourmet kitchen flows to the living and dining rooms so access to the chef of the group (or a private chef if you prefer) is easy and fun. Enjoy a glass of wine while helping out and still maintaining a connection to the group lounging in front of the huge wood fireplace. This level also includes a second dining area separate from the great room, as well as a billiards game room. The outdoor area is welcoming with beautiful views wherever you look!
On the lower level of Main House is a stone wine cellar, a stadium tiered movie theater, a separate sleeping area with a queen and a full bathroom. The Main House elevator starts on this level for easy access back to the main floor or the bedroom floor above the Great Room. On the upper level of the main residence are 4 guest bedrooms. The master suite has its own private living area with another log burning fireplace, a loft with a king-sized bed and a private bathroom with a steam shower & freestanding tub. The master suite opens out onto a deck with a hot tub. The 2nd guest suite has a king-sized bed, the 3rd guest suite has a king-sized bed, and the 4th suite on this level has a queen-sized bed. All guest suites have their own private bathroom.
The third structure is the Coach House. Located above the 2-car garage, the Coach House has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and private bathroom. There is also a living area with a full kitchen, private deck, and two queen-sized beds in the living area that can be couches or additional sleeping space. There are 2 indoor garage spaces and plenty of driveway space for additional vehicles.
